Executive DBA
Advisor-led research
For experienced executives with a master’s degree and a business issue they want to research.
Work through the DBA’s academic requirements with an advisor rather than a traditional lecture-based course sequence.
ABD completion
All but dissertation
For applicants who completed doctoral coursework at a recognized institution but still need to finish their dissertation.
UBIS reviews your prior study and research. You may receive up to 40 credits of advanced standing toward the 60-credit DBA.
Before you apply
All three routes lead to the DBA and require a completed dissertation and defense. Choose the route that reflects your academic background and preferred way of studying.
For ABD, submit your transcripts and evidence of dissertation progress for academic review. The review determines any advanced standing and the work you still need to complete; credit awards are not automatic.

Apply for your DBA route
Choose your program inside the form. The requirements and documents adjust to it.
- Master’s diploma and transcripts
- Passport or government ID
- CV and a 250-word motivation letter
- One letter of recommendation
- English proficiency evidence, if required
- Prior doctoral records and dissertation evidence for ABD review
